Lumea IPL 8000 SeriesIPL Hair Removal device with SenseIQ 2.0

The Philips Lumea IPL 8000 has genuinely improved my routine. Since using this device, I shave much less regularly, and my skin feels noticeably better. I’m very happy with the results so far!

I have gifted Philips Lumeaa IPL to my sister and since that time she used to do the fixing of the hair removal at home without visiting the clinics.

I was excited to try this as I have very dark hair on fair skin that constantly needs shaving. I don’t find this painful at all (even on max setting) and the process is super straightforward. It is more difficult to get full skin contact around boney areas (knees/ankles etc) but I usually manage it with some playing around. Being able to use this wirelessly is also really handy. So far I have done 2 treatments of my full legs and after the second treatment I noticed it took longer for my hair to grow back, so I’m optimistic I can be hair free with the full plan!

Body hair and facial hair has always been an issue for me and such a hassle to remove. Before discovering the Phillips Lumea 9000 IPL hair removal, I would dedicate time to removing my hair every day. And I have tried everything. I have shaved, which for me almost always came with cuts, ingrown hairs and missed hairs, I have used an epilator, which is painful, time consuming and sometimes doesn’t remove all the hairs, I have also waxed, which again, is time consuming, painful, messy and not all the hairs are removed. Plus with epilating and waxing, you need to let your hair grow for them to work, and I surely don’t want to do that especially during summer. As for shaving, the hair can start growing back as soon as the next day. After the first use of the Phillips Lumea 9000 IPL hair removal, I have noticed that hair regrowth was much slower. After 3-4 days I could feel some hair when touching my skin, but it was not noticeable. With the other methods I would notice hair regrowth within the next day or two. Some areas actually stayed hair free until the second IPL session, meaning that there was less hair regrowth in general. Not to mention the convenience and pain free experience of using the Lumea 9000. The device is extremely easy to use and it comes with a bag for storage and 3 different heads for different body parts: legs, armpits+intimate area, face. The skin sensor automatically adjusts the intensity level to suit your skin type and all you have to do is glide the IPL device across your skin. The most pain I’ve felt while using it was a tiny pinch like sensation, which I have only experienced in my intimate area, which is more sensitive as it is. As I am writing this I am a few days after the second IPL session and I’m amazed at how smooth my skin feels. I’ve experienced no irritation, no ingrown hairs or small injuries, things that have been common for me when using the other methods. After just 2 sessions I’m beyond impressed with the Phillips Lumea 9000, from the ease of use to the amazing results. It is definitely a worthy investment. I have less concerns about hairs that might have been missed, hairs that might have regrown over night, and I have mire time for myself. This device has made hair removal less of a chore and so much easier. I can’t wait to see the results after the full treatment.

A great option for at-home hair removal. The device is easy to use and feels much more convenient than constantly shaving or booking salon appointments. I also really like how straightforward the treatment process is.

So far, this is quite a fancy bit of kit. I can't talk about end results as there is process to follow and I haven't has the full time yet. What I will say is how SMART this is. There is an app to download that tell you exactly what to do and exactly what the Lumea IPL 9000 does. It tailors to all different skin types. It's pain free whilst being powerful. Not incredibly noisy. And it is a beautiful looking machine.

I have been lucky enough to test this amazing product, after wanting one for so long I couldn’t believe my luck and I was not disappointed. The product was really easy to use, i did take time to read the instructions throughly and the instructions were very easy to understand. It is very easy to hold and doesn’t make a lot of noise, my only concern was the flashes are very bright so I did make sure I was in a very well lit room and this reduced the intensity as the instructions advised, I would have like some kind of eyewear to be included to protect the eyes but making sure the room was well lit really helped. The device itself self has some weight to it but it is still easy to hold and use it is very durable and it does not matter which way you hold it. I have used the machine on multiple areas of the body now and I can already notice a reduction in hair growth I feel it is taking longer for the hair to grow back and the hair seem finer and not as much. I can’t wait to continue the use of this product and see further results the machine seems powerful and really high quality. I have dark hair and fair skin and my hair grows quickly where I would usually need to shave my legs etc every other day but since using this I have noticed it is taking longer for the growth to come through which has really surprised me. There are 3 attachments one for legs and body, one for the under arms and intimate areas then one for the face. The attachments are easy to change and easy to clean. The product comes with a storage bag which is very convenient. It could be classed by some as quite expensive however I think it’s great value for money when I think of how much I spend on waxing and shaving this will be more cost effective and worth while in the long run. It is a fraction of the price to what a salon would charge also and I can do this in the comfort of my own home. The App that is available with this product is amazing as it sets up reminders for when you are next due your treatment which is really handy when your busy. It also gives you easy to follow instructions and handy videos and images to follow on use and step by step instructions. Due to it not being a messy treatment I just sat comfortably on my bed and carried my treatment out I found it easier and it’s handy just to do before bed. I didn’t rate it 5 star simply because I think the product should come with some eye protection as it is quite an expensive product to buy however it is a fantasia product and if that one thing was changed then it would be a 5 stars from me.

I’m pale with dark hair, so the perfect combo for this model, but was still unsure whether it would actually work. I mainly wanted it to use on my legs, as that’s the bit the bothers me the most. I would usually get a wax but hate growing it in between. I was initially put off by having to shave first but after about 2 sessions I was already seeing it working!
